Current Mood: crazy

Tuesday the firedrill went off and everyone walked, no wait, they strolled out the building nonchalantly. At the carpark, some people even started lightin up cigarettes. It wasn’t as organized as singapore’s drill. We didn’t have to follow our lecturer around or line up in order. There wasn’t even a headcount. Lol.

After class, it was rundle mall. Walked along the street and then we were given free hugs! After that it was a walk down Hindley street. Its like the “bugis” street of Singapore except that the dirty crude stuff are more exposed. There were so many bars and quite a few strip bars. I chanced upon an arab shop which had sheesha! I went into the shop to enquire the price and the lady at the counter scruntinised me and asked whether it was my first time at the shop. So I was like yeah. And she smiled warmly at me until my friend came up beside me. Her smile vanished instantly and she asked me whether I was Korean. And when I said no she asked me what race I was. it was weird and I was kinda taken aback by the question , and also because of her sudden attitude change when she saw my friend, who’s a Chinese by the way. Gah. Maybe she just had some bad experience with the Chinese. Oh well.

Test tomorrow. I need to study. And theres no internet at home. Not just yet. Its so fucked up! I can only use the net in school which isn’t really a good thing because we have this internet quota where we are given $20 worth of net. Seriously? And after that you gotsa top that shit up yourself.

Singaporeans are a pampered bunch. Im dead serious. Here we even have to arrange our bins, recycled and non-recycled in a certain order. Otherwise they wont collect our rubbish. Best kan?

Eh fuck can I miss farhan so much. So so much. If right we were still together kan, today would have been our 9 month together. I know Singapore birthday somemore. Yes, as you can tell I am still in denial. Gah. I have to stop it. There are so many good looking guys (eg surfers, blondes etc) here. Wait now I sound shallow. Life is sounfuckingfair!

The winds here are so strong. And chilly.
Hello red hair.

Current Mood: tired

Last Friday was splendid! I went to the movies. The place looked very vintage. We caught The Simpsons. I have been waiting for that movie to come out and now that I’ve caught it, all I can say is, if you’re a fan of the simpsons, this is the one movie you should never miss. The ticket was pretty expensive. Cost us 11 aussie dollars, that is because we were given special student pricing. Otherwise it would cost 12.50. During the weekend, I caught harry potter and the order of phoniex. The movie is bloody brilliant. Maybe its because I didn’t read the book.lol. the movie ticket was bloody expensive,15.50.

Anyway, after watchin the simpsons, me and my friend went to rundle mall. Its considered the popular mall here. Kinda like orchard road for Singapore. It’s a 5 minute walk from my school. We walked for a bit and then we headed to torrens park where we took quite a bit of pictures. there are quite a number of parks here, ive been to botanic gardens for a biology excursion. They have a green house there too! Unfortunately it was under renovation so I didn’t get a chance to take a peek. Enough rambling, on to pictures!

Torrens! )

Current Mood: cold

Well I could pretty much say that life in Adelaide is pretty slow, as compared to Singapore. The pace here is not comparable to Singapore. Singapore is of course at the higher end. Of course I miss all the good stuff, such as the food, people (most definitely) and the fastness of getting everything, especially technology but I must say that the people here are extra friendly. I wouldn’t say customer service is way on top there, lets just say, if you smiled at someone here, your smile would be returned J

There are many postcard landscapes here and they are very beautiful. Such as the vibrant colors splayed across the sky on sunset or after a light drizzle, when the sun comes out, a beautiful rainbow spreads across the sky, which funnily enough, looks a lot different from Singapore. The colors here are more obvious and the rainbow actually looks bigger.

School has started for me and the rules are no different from poly. Except, in poly, our classes are spread out in a week, but here, since I’m on a special programme, its all cramped up into 4 hours per subject each day. It gets rather tiring and draggy to study a certain subject for 4 straight hours but I have to get on to it. Boring or no, it guarantees a place for me in Bach of Nursing.

My class is made up of people from South Africa, China, Hong Kong and India. Not much different from Singapore.

I must say, this state, is a small state. Even smaller than Singapore, but I guess when you get around and make good friends, it won’t appear to be half as bad. I’m actually growing to like this place. I still miss Singapore a lot. And that is a major understatement.

Ill post pictures.Soon enough.Thats a promise :)
